The problem is, fans of the series can’t quite seem to agree on exactly what changes they’d want to see in a remake of the original title.
In a recent Reddit post, one personposed the question, “Can they remakeHZDwith the game mechanics ofHFW?”
One commenterreplied saying, “I am sure some things would be redone to matchHFW, but just adding the Stash would be amazing.
But thenanother repliedwith, “Honestly, I wish the reverse, lol. I kinda hate the gameplay changes to #2, and wish it were more like #1.”

One user agreed, stating“There is some QoL stuff that I’d like to have inHZDbut as far as core gameplay mechanics, I much preferHZD.”
Finally, another commenterlanded somewhere in between in their reply.
“It’s interesting to see opinions diverge like that,” they said, “While I appreciate some things that were introduced inHFW, overall I enjoyedHZD’s gameplay more because it nailed the level of complexity of the different gameplay systems.HFWoverdid it in some ways.”
Seems an awful lot like developer Guerrilla Games has the work cut out for them if they want to appeal to everyone in the fan base, although at this point that’s starting to seem impossible.
