Players will assume the role of Kaku, a young warrior who is tasked with restoring peace to the lands he inhabits, visiting four elemental regions and beating their powerful lords.

The realm-hopping aspect ofKaku: Ancient Sealis reminiscent of what you might find inGod of Waror its sequelRagnarök, taking you to several vastly different locales.

The combat, however, is more akin to that which you’ll find in theHorizonfranchise, with Kaku wielding a powerful staff.

ICYMI:Lego Horizon Adventuresis coming later this year.

Of course, it’s clear thatKaku: Ancient Sealadopts a more playful art style but that’s not a downside.

In fact, it taps into the same vein thatKena: Bridge of Spiritsdid. There’s a PS2-nostalgia to this modern RPG, and we all know how successfulKenaproved to be.

Kaku: Ancient Sealisn’t all about combat. As with any good RPG, there’s some puzzle solving and platforming involved.

You’ve also got an adorable sidekick in the form of Piggy, a flying (you guessed it) pig.
