More specifically, that speculation is focusing on a possibleHouse of the Dragoncharacter actually going on to become the Night King during the events ofGame of Thrones.
As you may remember, the Night King is the leader of the White Walkers who existed long before the age of the First Men. However, he did originally start off as an undisclosed human and many fans see some similarities between him and Daemon Targaryen.
As a result, fans took to social media to share their thoughts over the past few weeks.

One comment read, “I just read a theory about Daemon being the Night King and I don’t want to unsee it now. It would be a perfect way for everything to come full circle. I hope somehow that ends up being true lol.”
