A new update adding some new items and events to take part inwas teased for a January release, though the developer has since addressed a slight delay in its release date due to the project taking longer than planned.
Speaking about the update on Twitter, ConcernedApesaid: “1.6 ended up being a little larger in scope than originally planned. I’m done adding major new content to it now, though, and it’s in a bug-fixing and polishing phase until it’s ready for release. Thx for your patience. It’ll be fun to see everyone play it!”
A rough release window wasn’t shared unfortunately but if the update is just in its bug fixing phase it’d be a safe bet to say it’ll drop sometime in February, or perhaps early March.
Whether this is one of the last updates forStardew Valleyis another question, but considering the game is still popular onPC,Xbox,PlayStationandNintendoplatforms, it’s likely the game still has a few more updates ahead of it before ConcernedApe shelves it entirely.
