The God of War series is one of Sony’s flagship titles on the blue brand which has increased in popularity following the soft reboot in 2018 for PS4.
Since the series’s inception in 2005, theGod of Warseries has offered some of the best combat mechanics of the action genre. When the series began in 2005, it was very much a different game from what we know today.

Sure, it still featured brutal combat, epic boss battles and a level of storytelling that would keep you engaged from start to finish. Yet, rather than having an over-the-shoulder camera perspective post-2018, the camera angles for the original games onPS2as well as the PSP prequels are fixed and its gameplay could perhaps be compared toCapcom’sDevil May Cry series.

If the original God of War games were to be remade, it’s probably unlikely to be this generation. That being said, playing the original trilogy on the more powerful PlayStation 6 makes that prospect all the more exciting. So, what are you waiting for Sony and Santa Monica, let’s get some classic Kratos modernised for a new era.
