Ahmed Best, the actor credited with playing the controversial Jar Jar Binks throughout theStar Warsprequel films recently shared an Instagram post in a mocap suit, with the caption “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.” Best included hashtags for Star Wars, Jar Jar Binks as well asActivision, implying that his mocap work will have something to do with his now iconic character appearing in one of the publisher’s games.

Jar Jar Binks was a widely controversial character in Star Wars for several years, with Ahmed Best suffering from mental health issues as a result of the portrayal. “Fans” relentlessly attacked the actor because they didn’t like the character, pushing Best out of the franchise before madea glorious returnas a Jedi in a flashback ofThe Mandalorian.
It seems Best is now ready to reprise his role, and will hopefully be more appreciated for what should have always been an innocent comic-relief character.
