Jurassic Park: Survival looks like the Dino Crisis reboot we’ve been waiting for

Considering Capcom are straight up refusing to give us anotherDino Crisisgame, it’s up to somebody else to give us scary dinosaurs who will chase us and chomp on our bones.

Apparently, it’s up to Saber Interactive who are bringing us a newJurassic Parkgame, and they’ve just dropped three brilliant screenshots showing us the dangers waiting.

Jurassic Park: Survivallooks to be faithfully recreating the film’s vibes

“Return to Isla Nublar the day after the events of the beloved 1993Jurassic Parkfilm in an original adventure 65 million years in the making.”

The day after. The T-Rex has barely pooped out the bones of an unsuspecting scientist and we’re going back to that cursed island. Those dinos are still going to be hungry. It continues…

“Survive thrilling first-person action as InGen scientist Dr. Maya Joshi, who was unable to evacuate Isla Nublar, in this single-player action-adventure game and discover a never-before-told story.”

Okay, now I’m all in. Evacuate the island? With all those raptors scurrying about the place? No thanks. That’s a quick way to get eaten alive. And is that little spitting prick still lording it about? What’s it called? Oh, a Dilophosaurus. Imagine turning a corner and he’s just chilling, then you have to play the next two minutes blinded and wandering. Saber, you can have that one.

Anyway, the screenshots are gorgeous and showcase the game’s dinosaurs in alpha renderings which, while they can’t be relied upon to show the game, they’re still quite lovely.

The lengths Saber has gone to to evoke the feeling of the original film is wonderful and I hope it continues through development and we could be onto a winner. And at least we’ll have something similar toDino Crisis, finally.
