Each of the three heroes is separated and forced to take on their own challenge. Wonder Woman throws down in the Wild West, Superman investigates a sci-fi/noir alien invasion, and Batman faces off against wizards and monsters in a fantasy world.

The one pulling all the strings is none other than Mongul, an alien warlord who regularly pops up in DC media to cause trouble for its characters, though he’s often credited as one of Superman’s main villains due to his strength.

While there have been several Tomorrowverse films up to this point,Justice League: Warworldis a pivotal moment in the series. Up to this point, the DC characters have been scattered on their own adventures, but the events of this film will see them learn the value of having a strong team of meta-humans to take on major threats.
