Kick streamer under fire after hiring and filming female escort

Kick streamer Ice Poseidon has come under fire after he allegedly paid a man to hire an escort and stream their time together live on the site.

The altercation took place on 21 September. It’s believed that Ice Poseidon paid a male $500 to hire a female escort, inviting her to the unknown man’s hotel room. Around the room were a series of cameras, filming the escort’s interactions with the male. It’s unknown whether the escort was aware of the cameras. Ice Poseidon claimed in a tweet that she indeed was.

Online, it was said that Ice Poseidon was arrested shortly after, but he claims this was not the case. Taking to Twitter, hewrote, “Wasn’t a ‘hidden camera’ and I got swatted after, not arrested. Buck adding to the Twitter cancellation nonsense!!! Figure your s**t out Twitter. It’s LEGAL content that even the police wrote off as LEGAL and safe.”

Kick have since put out a vaguestatement, saying, “There’s incredible untapped potential in what live streaming has to offer. We’re firm believers that the greatest days of live streaming are yet to come. With that said, community & public safety cannot be compromised in the process of making ‘content’. We’re continuously learning where this balance sits and are making changes daily. We appreciate our community for the continuous feedback, both the good & the bad. We’ll keep you updated on upcoming changes to community guidelines and subsequent enforcement measures.”
