However, after the release ofL.A. Noire,Team Bondi closed up shop but a studio made up of some former team members was soon established and is now known as Video Games Deluxe. It was this team that worked onL.A. Noire: The V.R. Case Fileswhich was released back in 2017.

However, according to a recent Instagram post which has since been taken down, Australian composer and performer Freyja Garbett revealed that she had been working on some music for Video Games Deluxe’s next game which would be titledSowden House.
“From the creators ofL.A. NoirecomesSowden House, a psychological thriller set in 1940s L.A. that will have you questioning your sanity,” Garbett posted alongside a video of music being recorded.
“I never thought I’d be writing for a video game but I’m grateful for the opportunity! This was the second video games session recording and it features the ‘jazz band’,” she continued.

However, Video Games Deluxe has since come forward to issue a statement about this piece of music and reveals it has nothing to do with its current project.
“We are working exclusively on projects for Rockstar. We commissioned some music from a local composer Freyja Garbett for a VR project that we were working on a number of years ago when between projects," they said.
“It is based on a case fromLA Noirethat did not make the cut but was more of a tech demo than anything else. We have no idea whether this will ever see the light of day but we decided to finish the score commission to support a local composer.”
So it remains to be seen what will become ofSowden Housebut with such an intriguing story behind it, we hope it will one day see the light of day.
