LittleBigPlanet studio reveals it’s working on a new IP

When it comes to PlayStation exclusives, few have generated the level of charm quite like the beloved LittleBigPlanet series.

The LittleBigPlanet series would later spawn sequels and spin-offs that fans could not get enough of. However, with the release ofLittleBigPlanet 3in 2014, Media Molecule handed over the reins to Sumo Digital, which later brought us the brilliantSackboy: A Big Adventurein 2020.

Media Molecule took everything they learned from LittleBigPlanet and evolved their skills into 2020’sDreamswhich took player creation to the next level.Dreamson PS4 was so in-depth, that players could create full video games and even animated movies, it really was an incredible game, to say the least.

Now, new details on the new IP have emerged due to a recent job listing at Media Molecule. The newjob listingin question is for a principal programmer for art technology at the Guildford-based studio.

A section of the job listing reads that the would-be new employee will work “closely with the wider programming team to define and champion technical requirements and standards for Media Molecule’s new IP." The details on the project are vague but it at least re-confirms that a new game from the developer is on the way.

It will be interesting to see if this will be another creative sandbox game again from Media Molecule or if it will be something else entirely. Only time will tell.
