We know it’s only been a matter of days since we said that a2006 LOTR classic was “truly stunning”, but that’s because it scratches that nostalgia itch.

Seeing what could be if a AAA developer took on the job has us desperate for this teaser to transition into a full game.
And we’re not alone in wanting that; plenty of other YouTube users are just as keen as we are to see the LOTR brought to life like this.

In fact, some of us prefer the idea ofStardew Valleyfor Hobbits, which is exactly whatTales of the Shirepromises to deliver.
Better still, that’s a full game, whereas this Unreal Engine creation is but a teaser of could be.
Maybe one day we’ll get a photorealistic LOTR title just like this.
