Especially during the modern era, it’s unlikely that a lot of games will truly be exclusive and many will eventually jump from one platform to the next.

WhileScornwill no doubt essentially be the same experience as itsXboxSeries X|S counterpart, the PlayStation 5 port will take advantage of the DualSense controller’s unique features.

“Every weapon or tool has a subtle, but different feeling of weight,” reads the PS Blog post. “For example, the piston-like melee tool, used to operate different contraptions, and occasionally in desperate attempts of self-defence, has a specific resistance in the trigger that when used alongside the haptics, enhances the desired effect.”

What’s more, the DualSense controller light bar will represent the player’s health changing its colours depending on the situation at hand, allowing the player to know whether they’re near death at a quick glance. The PS Blog post also claims to have created “something special forPlayStation 5players” with the DualSense features.

Inour review ofScorn, we said that it: “achieves something all horror games aspire to, but it’s not quite up to the standards of the horror genre’s best. That being said, fans of dread-filled atmospheres and H. R. Giger-inspired aesthetics will not want to miss this one, so long as you have the emotional resolve required.”

Scornis available now on PC and Xbox Series X|S, including onXbox Game Pass. At this time, a set release date hasn’t been announced for PlayStation 5, but it will arrive at some point in 2023.
