Marvel confirms new Black Panther MCU project

We got some details about a new Black Panther series that’s setin the MCUat D23 this weekend, although it’s currently unconfirmed if it will actually feature the superhero or not.

Details about the then-untitled series were pretty sparse at the time, and indeed remained sparse until recently when the project was discussed at a D23 panel.

The series is supposedly separate from another Wakanda-focused show that is also in the works, although there are little to no details regarding this second show. It’s confirmed that the project will be live-action.

So far, we also know thatEyes of Wakandawill feature actress Danai Gurira who will be reprising her role as Okoye.

It was previously confirmed that the series will release sometime in 2024, and that it is set in the same universe as the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Outside of this, we don’t really know what the plot of the show will be or when it will even be set. It’s more than likely we’ll see or hear about Black Panther in some shape or form, but exactly which Black Panther that will end up being is still up in the air.

It was also confirmed that season two ofX-Men ‘97will feature the characters Apocalypse, Polaris and Sabretooth, as well as having the X-Men don their suits from the well-regarded Grant Morrison seriesNew X-Men.
