At least this wonderful animation got more than one season onto our screens before it was cancelled though.

According to an insider whoannounced the news via Twitter, the show will not be returning for a third outing.

It’s a shame to see as this show, while being aimed at kids, had a broad appeal and it was constantly stunning to watch.

With gorgeous visuals,Moongirl and Devil Dinosauroften stood out in a sea of more bland shows coming fromDisney.

One Twitter usersees nothing but doom and gloom with this decision from the Houe of Mouse, “Oh god. This decade is becoming the Dark Age of Animation, now we need to wait until the 2030’s for another Renaissance of Animation.”

The animation apocalypse isn’t only reserved for Marvel properties, however, as another Twitter userpoints out, “FirstThe Ghost and Molly McGee, ThenHailey’s On It, NowMoonGirl And Devil Dinosaur! The Average lifespan of Disney Channel animation is slowly declining!”

In response to the initial tweet, artist Gabi Rode seeminglyconfirmed the newssaying, “What sucks is that a bunch of us at Disney knew about this for so long but couldn’t outright say it. The [Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur] production area was a ghost town for over a year."

Despite a devoted fanbase, revolutionary visuals, and often funny plotlines, the world of animation is difficult to survive within, even for Marvel heroes.
