During the recent trailer forCaptain America: Brave New Worldwe saw a quick cutaway to a funeral scene and fans are already heartbroken at what this could mean.

Of course, we’re jumping to conclusions, but some believe that good old Steve Rogers is in that coffin.

After all, we don’t know what happened to the original Captain America after he passed his shield to Sam and walked off into the sunset.
If he is confirmed dead, it’s likely he died of old age rather than at the hands of a villain and the funeral certainly looks like one being held for an American hero.
Given the flag draped coffin and the salutes being performed, it’s obviously a military funeral, which does hint towards Cap.
