The MCU starposted, “I [promise] it’s still happening” which is getting up the hopes of many who appreciated the first film.
One passionate Redditor, VakarianJ,says“It’s still ridiculous that it’s taking so long. Back in the day, we would’ve had the sequel last year or this year. It’s going to be like 5 years between his first & second movies.”
Once upon a time, Marvel would have pulled the trigger on a sequel a lot earlier, but you have to wonder if Marvel is realising they are spread too thin.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsended on a note that seemed to be pointing to a sequel or a team-up, possibly with Wong, who is now Sorcerer Supreme.

While user CircusPoliticusbelieves, “he’s coming in Captain America 4,” it’s hard to know exactly what Marvel has planned when he’s been absent for so long.
However, darkknight95smthinks, “that might be deliberate on Marvel’s part, they could be trying to give more breathing room for the actors.”
We could be waiting many more years to see Shang-Chi back in action. Asanother Redditor says, with tongue firmly in cheek, “Can’t wait to see it in 2031.”
