Marvel fans in love with ‘perfect’ new Wolverine casting

It’s been a pretty big year for Wolverine, one that comes after a few years of dormancy.

Yes, of course, Wolverine forever lives on in the world ofMarvelComics, but not since the launch of 2017’sLoganhas the character been talked about in the pop culture canon quite so much as he has this year.

Predominantly, that’s thanks to the launch ofDeadpool & Wolverine, a film which welcomed Ryan Reynolds’ merc-with-a-mouth into theMCUas well as Hugh Jackman’s aforementioned Logan back into the fray.

It was great to see Jackman finally don the iconic yellow and blue suit, but he’s not the only actor to take on the role this year.

Marvel Rivalsis set to launch tomorrow, on Friday 6 December, and it’s already captured the attention of thousands of hopeful players.

And ahead of the game going live, Wolverine’s voice actor has been revealed.

Concord, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, andXDefiantare perhaps the most prominent examples that spring to mind, bidding us farewell before they’d barely got off the ground.

Marvel Rivalscould break the curse though.

Of course, we won’t know for certain until we see the size of the player base it accrues, but itsOverwatch-esque team-based PvP gameplay has certainly garnered it an impressive level of hype over on social media.

In recent days, NetEase has been unveiling the game’s 33 hero roster - all of whom are playable from launch with additional heroes to be added in due course.
