Marvel officially announces our new Spider-Man for next MCU project

Marvel’s next Spider-Man project is an animated series, starring a brand-new actor for the webslinger.

While Tom Holland, whether you like it or not, is theMarvelCinematic Universe’s mainSpider-Man, the multiverse allows for other interpretations of the character, leading us toYour Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, previously known asSpider-Man Freshman Year.

Thanks to D23 and its sneak peeks at upcomingDisneyprojects, we’ve had our first look at the upcoming animated series, which will once again tell Spidey’s origins but with a few twists on what we’ve seen already.

The show’s creators have promised the upcoming animated series will be “a journey unlike we’ve ever seen” for the character.

Other animated projects shown off at D23 included the next two seasons ofX-Men ‘97, another series ofWhat If?..and theMarvel Zombiesspecial series, an R-rated project spawned from the success of theWhat If?..episode.

Fans were also treated to glimpses of live-action projects, likeIronheart,Fantastic Four: First Stepsand, the one I’m most excited about,Daredevil: Born Again.

There’s a lot to look forward to over the next few years, especially if you’re a street-level superhero fan like me.
