Deadpool is dead, long live Deadpool. Well, Wade Wilson as Deadpool is dead, or will be very soon, and a new Deadpool will fill his shoes.
Marvel has long been teasing us that Deadpool, usually unkillable, is going to die. This is because of a villain called Death Grip.

Typical comic book stuff, really. This would leaveMarvelComics with no Deadpool, but lo and behold, Wade Wilson’s daughter Ellie will be donning the red suit and taking his place.
This all started because Death Grip wanted to see how far he could push Wilson’s healing factor as he is obsessed with the idea of death and the undying.
NowDeadpoolwill finally get the rest he deserves (for how long, who knows, comics am I right?) and Ellie will be on the lookout for vengeance, with Taskmaster tagging along to carry on the training.

So, Wade will die in issue #6 and Ellie puts on the suit in the following issue. Whether she has the mouth on her that her daddy does, is yet to be seen.
A part of me hopes that Marvel keeps Wade Wilson dead for a while. We all know he’ll make a comeback, but nowadays the deaths of characters are all too brief.
They lack the gravitas they once did when it seems every other week someone else is being killed.
