That said, not every series has worked out as well.
Previous strategy relied on a head writer taking charge rather than a showrunner, an integral role that virtually every other TV show has.
Without a showrunner, once these MCU series went to production, the head writer would transfer control over to the director.
Naturally, this can cause a sense of disconnect between what was intended and the final product audiences see.

Despite working fairly well for its cinematic outings, this approach is being scrapped and a showrunner introduced; the first project since this transition isAgatha All Along.
When the show airs, it will act as an ushering in of a new era for both Disney and the MCU.

Although this is the new approach, Schaeffe explains that they still “subscribe to the initial pitch about what [the Marvel series] were meant to be.”
The end result in the long run, hopefully, is that the shows will feel more like a TV series as opposed to a cinematic outings shoehorned into the wrong medium.
