It’s fair to say that postAvengers: Endgame, the MCU has been on less of a high lately but that might be about to change in the coming months.
The Infinity Saga was a triumphant tale of good vs evil withThanosas its villainous central point. What made theMCU’sThanos such a compelling villain, is that like all good villains, he believes he’s doing the righteous thing and in a twisted way, he had logic.

However, whenAvengers: Endgameconcluded and we dawned into a new era of the MCU, it was always going to be a struggle when leaving on such a high. The Infinity Saga was a tough act to follow, even with such a rich cast ofMarvelcharacters to support the new venture.

This has led some to believe that Storm could be playing a major role in the MCU, perhaps, she might be its leader of the X-Men. At the time of writing, it’s hearsay, but it’s safe to assume that Halle Berry won’t be reprising the role at this stage in her career.
Currently, in her early-to-mid 30s, Alexandra Shipp could be the perfect Storm that leads a new version of the X-Men in the MCU going forward. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out.
The next movie to arrive in the MCU isCaptain America: Brave New Worldwhich arrives in cinemas on 14 February 2025.
