Spoilers forDeadpool & Wolverineahead, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
For the last 24 years there has only ever been one live-action Wolverine, and it’s Hugh Jackman.
Is this a good thing for the character in the long run? Probably not. But as Deadpool quips in the recently releasedDeadpool & Wolverine: “they’re gonna make him do this till he’s 90”.

Realistically I would expect theMCUwill introduce anewWolverinesooner rather than later, if only because Hugh Jackman will probably want to call it quits again eventually.
For the time being, however, it would appear Marvel has no plans to recast Logan in the MCU. Except, actually, they already did. This is where the spoilers come in, in case you missed the earlier warning.

Will we ever actually see Henry Cavill’s Wolverine again in the MCU? I sincerely doubt it. But for the first time in 24 years we actually got a new actor as the iconic X-Man, and it felt as brilliantly weird as I expected.
