I didn’t see this one coming. Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonoured andDeathloop, has just taken to The Game Awards stage to announce their next game,Marvel’s Blade.

Everybody’s favourite vampire hunter is getting his own AAA release.Marvel’s Bladeis in the early stages of development, but we did get a juicy trailer showcasing the character. Seemingly the game boasts a similar aesthetic toDeathloop. Devs have described it as “a single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris.”

The project is being made in collaboration with Marvel Games who said in a blog post thatMarvel’s Bladewould be “mature”, so don’t expect to see any watering down of the character. The game is set to feature a brand new story. We don’t have any kind of release window seeing as, like I mentioned, the game is in the very early stages of production. Still, it’s all very exciting.
