Let’s face it, we’re all reeling from that cancelled DLC announcement.
This clearly wasn’t originally the case.

You may remember that Insomniac Games was previously subject to a major cyber attack during which the studio’s road map leaked.
That included confirmation of several planned DLCs, much like we saw with the originalMarvel’s Spider-Man.
Even without the leak though, the game itself screamed as much.
Carnage and Chameleon weren’t simply set up for no reason and while I guess the argument will now be that they’ll somehow play a role in the next mainline game, it doesn’t feel as if that was the plan.

It was theorised that the DLCs might’ve been cancelled following the leak, so I guess that appears to be true.
I do have a small consolation gift though that may lift your spirits, just a tad.
PlayStationStars users can currently bag a nice littleMarvel’s Spider-Man 2collectible.
I did say it was a small gift.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remasteredlaunches in just over a week. Take a look at the game in action below.
It’s the ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2| Exterminator Trophy Hunt’ campaign that you’ll want to hit “start” on.
From there, simply load up and play the game for a minute or two and you’ll nab the ‘Symbiote Canister’ collectible.

“You did it! The Spider-Men zipped around the city using sonic bombs to squash every nest and earn the Exterminator trophy. It’s time to get your special collectible,” reads the description.
The campaign is finally set to close on 3 November so if you haven’t already bagged this collectible, you don’t have long to get involved.
Does earning a symbiote canister hurt after Carnage DLC was potentially just snapped away from us? Kinda.
But if you want this limited-time trophy on your shelf, a brave face is needed.
