Avid fans will know you can switch between the two playable Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as you travel across Marvel’s New York landscape. The game has a bigger world to explore than ever before, with two new boroughs added - Brooklyn and Queens.

And there are great new features on offer, like Peter Parker’s new symbiote abilities or Miles' bio-electric venom powers. Combat is taken to the next level thanks to some high-tech equipment, which really adds some depth and variety to gameplay. You’ll face up against some classic villains, including Venom, the Lizard and Kraven the Hunter - who’s soon to be given his own film starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

With a 4.8 out of 5 star average rating fromover 2,000 reviews on Amazon, you can tell it’s still widely regarded.

Another person said: “This is a fantastic game. It is beautifully presented, the story is good and the game mechanics are nigh on perfect. A must for any Spider-man or Marvel fan.”

While a third reviewer added: “Very happy withSpider-Man 2, loved the first one and this is even better.”

Some who played it though didn’t have glowing feedback, with one reviewer noting: “I expect it to be more polished. I really feel games are prematurely released these days with far too little testing beforehand, which is a shame.” Another player commented: “Great game but felt slightly shorter than the first Spider-Man game.”
