2023 was an amazing year for video game releases, however, it did our ever-expanding pile of shame no favours whatsoever thanks to the likes ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Last year, we were blessed withBaldur’s Gate 3,The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the KingdomandAlan Wake 2, to name a few. 2023 was so good, that the existence ofHogwarts Legacy,Resident Evil 4remake and evenMarvel’sSpider-Man2may have briefly slipped our mind when thinking of the best games that year had to offer.

Not only did we scoreMarvel’sSpider-Man 2a worthy 9/10, but it also rated highly on aggregate websites such as Metacritic with ascoreof 90 earning the “Must-Play” accolade. So if for whatever reason you’ve not playedMarvel’s Spider-Man 2or its first game for that matter, you need to change that fact ASAP.
Yet, no matter how much a game may or may not achieve near perfection, post-launch updates are often required to fix previously unforeseen issues, even for a game such asMarvel’s Spider-Man 2. In a rare exception, post-launch updates do bringfree DLCfrom time to time, rather than just fixes.
The latest patch has now been deployed forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2and while it doesn’t bring any new DLC this time, it does fix several meddling bugs. Most notably,patchv1.002.003 fixes issues related to the New Game Plus mode, and adds new accessibility options as well as improving overall stability.

The latest update will download the moment you boot upMarvel’s Spider-Man 2with an internet connection. That’s unless you’ve already downloaded the patch while your PlayStation 5 has been in sleep mode and if that’s the case, you’ll be good to go.
