Nowadays,Marvelfans can enjoy the franchise whether it’s comics,TV and films, board games, video games and much more. In terms of gobbling up all the Marvel content, as a fan, the world is your oyster.

Recently, video game developer Insomniac Games has been knocking it out of the park, not only with 2021’sRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartbut also 2018’sMarvel’sSpider-Manas well as its critically acclaimed 2023 sequel for PlayStation 5.
In our review ofMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, we said: “This is an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before.Insomniac Gameshas crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle.”
As for what the future holds for Insomniac Games, that remains to be seen. We do know thatMarvel’s Wolverineis being released onPlayStation 5. However, at the time of writing, we do not have a release date nor have we seen any gameplay. There has been speculation thatVenom is getting his own spin-off game, but that rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt until we get confirmation from Insomniac Games or Sony.
The gameplay video uploaded to the TeaserPlay channel features Venom causing carnage in a city that could be either New York, Atlanta or San Francisco. Either way, I feel sorry for the police officers who are assigned to try and stop the egotistical symbiote alien.

It’s worth mentioning that as fun as this Venom concept gameplay looks, it’s not being made public otherwise the Sony and Marvel lawyers will be coming down on TeaserPlay harder than a five-star frog splash from Wilson Fisk. That being said, at the very least, it gives us a taste of what to expect should Insomniac Games ever release a Venom video game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is out now on PlayStation 5.
