Mass Effect 2 multiplayer lets you explore and fight with friends

Fair to say, I think we all remember our first attempt at the famous Suicide Mission. I don’t know about you but I took a couple of heavy losses, completely unaware of just how deadly the mission would prove to be.

BioWareis hard at work on the next instalment in the series which we know will be a follow-up toMass Effect3, more so than something in the same vein asAndromeda.

With that in mind, it’llreturn to the franchise’s “classic format”of small hub worlds to explore, ditching the concept of a big open world.

In the meantime though, you may find yourself journeying black to replay the franchise’s pre-existing titles.

What if I told you that your nextMass Effect 2playthrough could be transformed into a co-op experience that you can enjoy with friends?

I bet that’d grab your attention.

“Emilio (maker of the first person mode forME2) and I were screwing around withME2console commands and found the split screen command forME2works way better thanME3 (where they stripped most of it out),” theybegan.

“While you can’t control player two on a keyboard/mouse, we tested with two controllers and found it works really well. Obviously there’s issues because the game isn’t coded for two players, but you can have a lot of fun with it.”

“Using a program named Parsec, we were able to stream and do remote inputs, so it was essentially online co-op,” they continued.

This method only works with controller inputs, so there’s no way to copy it with a keyboard, mouse, and controller.

“Oh wow this looks like so much fun,” addedanother. Give it a go.
