Mass layoffs at EA have left the fate of several upcoming games up in the air, though it’s saidMass Effect 5andDragon Age Dreadwolfwill survive for the time being.

In other news, the company recently shared its plans for the future, which will apparently includeplenty of free-to-play and live-service games. EA said the reason for this is because gamers actually want these type of games, a bold claim considering many live-service games, the most recent example beingSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, quickly fizzle out due to a lack of content or poor optimisation.
