Mass Effect 5 update leaves fans more hyped than ever

Although we know thatMass Effect 5is in fact in development at BioWare, not much else is known about the highly-anticipated sequel.

However, what we do know is that several members of the team that worked on the originalMass Effecttrilogy will be returning which has left fans feeling hopeful.

It has been seven years since the last instalment in the Mass Effect series was released with the arrival ofMass Effect: Andromeda.

With its update revealing that development onMass Effect 5is “proceeding very well”, fans are hoping they will receive more information about the next entry soon.

Until then, it has recently been revealed that several BioWare veterans will be returning for the project including the executive producer, art director, creative director and game director.

The team members who notably worked on the Mass Effect trilogy will also be working on the next instalment and with the original games marked as some of the best RPGs of all time, this is exciting news.

However, withMass Effect: Andromedareceiving mixed reviews back in 2017, some fans are not feeling too hopeful about the future of the series, especially as it has been so long in the making.

“I hate to say it, but I don’t think this game is ever actually gonna happen, it doesn’t seem likely thatBioWarewill survive the next couple years,” read onecommentover on r/masseffect.

“EA could give it to another studio I guess, but at that point it’s a whole new game.”

It remains to be seen what the future will be like forMass Effect 5but it is worth remaining hopeful!
