
Theinitial trailerdid generate a bit of buzz when it dropped, but not because of its content or the fact that Matthew McConaughey voices one the game’s characters. People were mostly excited that Archetype Entertainment were taking on a sci-fi game, as many of the staff members are ex-BioWareemployees.

The developer employs several ex-BioWare heavy hitters, such as Chad Robertston (who worked onDragon Age: InquisitionandStar Wars: The Old Republic), James Ohlen (who worked as Lead Designer and Creative Director on titles likeJade Empire,Dragon Age: OriginsandBaldur’s Gate), and Drew Karpyshyn (Lead Writer on bothMass EffectandMass Effect 2).
Naturally, a team of ex-BioWare staffers announcing that they’re working on a sci-fi game gotMass Effectfans across the globe pumped - and the new trailer for the game is igniting that passion for a second time.
The “Green Worlds” trailer is already giving people hope thatExoduscan live up to the hype that the pedigree of its developers has set for it. Or, as one one comment puts it, “Please fill that Mass Effect-sized hole in my heart”.
It’s hard to say if the developers at Archetype Entertainment are too thrilled with being constantly compared to their former place of work, but it’s to be expected. BioWare fans have been desperate for something new from the developer for a while now, especially following flops likeAnthem.

Here’s hopingExoduslives up to the expectations the fans have already placed on it. Hard to see how it wouldn’t, given the talent behind the project. There is currently no release date in sight though, so who knows how long it’ll take for us to find out.
