During theXboxPartner Showcase earlier this week fans were treated to a few glimpses at third-party games coming to the Xbox Series X/S andPC. While the announcement thatPersona 3: Reloadwould be getting an expansion pass was the news I was most hyped for, I couldn’t help but have my eyes drawn to a new IP calledThe Alters.

In case you missed it,The Altersis an upcoming sci-fi horror that poses a question we all ask ourselves from time to time, “what if?..” In the game, players will become Jan Dolski, who’s trapped on a desolate planet that allows him to create copies of himself through an unknown power.

It’s a unique concept to say the least, and it’ll probably have a lot of people scratching their heads when it releases but it’s great to see a game boast such creativity in its gameplay and story.
The Alterswill release sometime later this year, though an exact release date wasn’t ready during the Xbox Partner Showcase. It’ll launch on Xbox Series X/S, PC and PlayStation 5.
