However, in the meantime, fans can check outMass Effect: Reborn,a fan-mademodfor Homeworld 2 Classic and Remastered which is now part of public domain.
First created back in 2015, the mod for Homeworld 2 has now been remastered and allows players to wage war in space as Alliance, Cerberus, Geth or Reapers.
With updated graphics, the team was happy to share their progress back in 2015.
“We’ve been working hard thus far and the next release ofMass Effect: Rebornfor Homeworld: Remastered is going to be radically different, much more immersive and more than beautiful,” they said.

As a result, the remastered version includes 8K textures and new features including a more complex tech tree for players to upgrade.
