Although it was the first proper glimpse at the long-awaitedGrand Theft Autoentry, there was still plenty of sympathy for its developers.
However, according to former Rockstar developer Obbe Vermeij, who is best known for working onGrand Theft Auto 3andGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas, theGTA VIleaks were not as big of a deal as people made out.

As a result, he believes the leaks would have made less of an impact if the studio was not overly secretive.
However, he also understands why they are as every time a “big company” reveals news about their big projects, it often gets “analysed” and met with negativity.
As a result, Vermeij ultimately believes that staying quiet is their “best bet” even though it may lead to leaks as it did two years ago.
The countdown forGrand Theft Auto VIis still ongoing with rumours that its second official trailer will be released any day now.
