With any substantial news like this, amidst the excitement lurks concern: what if the developers get it wrong…?
“I really hope it’s not aGTA Trilogyflop again,” one fan posted. “They [the devs] need to invest in making this look as amazing as possible. People have been wanting this for a very long time and will pay for it too.”
The status quo is that loyalty remains only as long as fans are satisfied; once that goes, all hell breaks loose. We’ve seen it happen before.
There’s also the question of who will voice Max Payne; James McCaffrey died in 2023, thus leaving a gaping hole to fill for anyone who attempts to claim the iconic video game character as their own.

“That’s the million dollar question I keep asking myself: who will take the reins being the voice of Max himself. If they do choose someone else, they got a gigantic amount of shoes and responsibilities to fill,” commented another fan.
Who will take on the role remains unknown. Still, at least we know that the remakes are happening, and that they’ll be in full development come the end of summer.
