MCU cancelled series sees lead star return in new Marvel release

It’s always nice to see a second chance for MCU projects, even if it comes via a new medium.

Case in point, Squirrel Girl, a character which Marvel decided not to greenlight for the MCU via a Freeform show, is now getting a new lease of life inMarvel Rivals.

Moon Knight looks to be a force to be reckoned with in newMarvel Rivalsfootage.

There has been a lot of great news aboutMarvel Rivalscoming out over the past week or so, including a showing ofMoon Knight, and an appearance fromSpider-Manin hisNo Way Homesuit.

It’s worth noting that Milana Vayntrub and Squirrel Girl already have a connection as Vayntrub voiced the character in theMarvel Risingseries.

If you’re unaware of Squirrel Girl, she’s a slightly comedic character who has immense strength and can communicate with squirrels, forming quite an army of them.

We haven’t seen much more about her inclusion inMarvel Rivals, such as what her powers and abilities will look like.

Hopefully, she will lean into her more humorous powers, bringing some levity to the action-shooter that builds teams ofheroes and villainsfighting alongside each other.

Marvel Rivalsis due for release on 6 December, releasing as a free-to-play shooter that uses a unique art style to transport players into the comic pages of Marvel titles.

When I first played the game during beta, I was a little disappointed with the playstyle which apesOverwatchgreatly.

However, that was playing solo and when I got into a team with friends, the game really came to life.

I’m eagerly awaiting more time with the game when it comes out, and the future updates look like a comic nerd’s dream.
