Since then, Hemsworth himself has said that he has no plans to head into the “retirement period” as Thor is “way too young for that”.

So we can definitely expect to see the hammer-wielding god make an appearance in the future.

However, fans are not happy with how Thor has been depicted in recent projects withMarvel Studiosseemingly unsure how to present such a formidable character.

The discussion kicked off earlier this week over on r/MCUTheories with one user posting thefollowing:

“Anyone find it strange how Thor went from no eye, no hammer King inRagnarök,to a new eye, new axe inInfinity War, then to a guy with both hammers, original eye back, no intelligence at all inLove and Thunder?

Feels like reverse development.”

User saibjai had the following toadd, “I think the original Thor was played too rigidly.. too generic.

So Hemsworth and Taika [Waititi] found the character inRagnarökwith humour and it really gave the character life in the subsequent movies.

It was a mixture of humour and a tortured soul…. perhaps the only way someone could deal with losing so much.

Then inThor 4, they took that formula and went way way way overboard into comedy central.”

FDVP said, “I’m ok with Thor’s current development since his arc is yet to be completed.
