MCU’s Moon Knight has made an unexpected return in the most unlikely of places

Moon Knight is back after failing to secure a second season for his TV series, but he’s not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anymore.

I’m partially kidding. He did unfortunately not get a second season, but he’ll definitely reappear at some point in the MCU, possibly through aMidnight Sunsfilm or some other live-action project.

He better come back, because the first season ofMoon Knightwas great despite some growing pains.

In the meantime though, the character is getting love elsewhere, like appearing as part of theMarvel Rivalsrosterand now he’s taking a trip to Gotham City to fill in for theDark Knightdown the street…

That’s right. There’s amodyou can download forBatman: Arkham Knightthat swaps the world’s greatest detective for Moon Knight instead, a fitting swap as Moon Knight is essentially Batman if he existed in the Marvel universe, and hassomesuperpowers.

He fits into the game like a glove with his cape swaying behind him as he perches on rooftops and getting his hands dirty as he pummels Gotham’s crime into a bloody red pulp.

If anything, it’s an example of why Moon Knight deserves his own game at some point later down the line, perhaps a project for Insomniac Games when it’s wrapped up onMarvel’s The WolverineandMarvel’s Spider-Man 3?

For those wanting to experience the story ofBatman: Arkham Knightwith Moon Knight instead, you can do so for free via NexusMods, and it’s worth a new playthrough if it’s been a while as it’s arguably the best game in the trilogy.

As for Moon Knight in the MCU, he’ll return one day, for sure. The appeal is there and it’s clear fans want to see more of him, especially after how sparingly his suit and powers were used in his own TV series.
