Metro Exodus sequel is deep into development, says insider

Normally when we learn about a sequel, it’s in its early stages, but with theMetro Exodussequel, it’s well into its development. For fans of the widely acclaimed original, this is marvellous news.

Fans ofMetro Exodushave known another title was coming thanks to the devs transparency on the subject. However, knowing it’ll eventually be released is very different to being told that the sequel is in the playable stages.

When the follow-up to the first game was announced back in 2020, no one knew just how long we’d have to wait to see the fruits of 4A Games’ labour. “It’s no secret that we have already started work on the next Metro game,” the official statement read.

We’ll never forget the awe we felt seeing theMetro Exodustrailer for the first time

Now that an insider is claiming that said sequel is playable, accordingto Insider Gaming report, this means that we could potentially be looking at a 2024 release window. More than likely towards the end of the year, though the possibility of sooner than that isn’t out of the question.

The next Metro title will follow the same format the fans love about the original, with 4A Games “committed to delivering a great story-driven single-player experience”. As the devs continue to push for “bigger and better games”, it’s exciting to know that it won’t be long before we see that effort via a trailer or even some gameplay footage.

Metro Exoduswas “perfect”, with oneSteamplayer saying” Everything down to the last minute details” of the game were executed perfectly. With such high praise, we can only hope the sequel mirrors that perfection.
