That’s right. Miles Morales is set to take over as the series’ lead Spider-Man. Narrative director Ben Arfmann and advanced writer Brittney Morris confirmed as much in a recentinterviewwith Gizmodo. On having Miles as the lead, Morris said, “It always felt very natural, and I think we all collectively thought it would happen. To me, it shows a great deal of evolution from Miles; at the beginning of the game, we see him struggling to figure out what he wants to do with his life.”

I’d argue as well that while both Spideys experienced huge character development inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, Pete took centre stage thanks to the symbiote. It makes perfect sense that we could see Miles challenged in the next story. All I know is that my mind is already brimming with excitement over the possibilities and I cannot wait to see what Insomniac is cooking up.
