Minecraft drops next-gen release we’ve been begging for

If you’re aMinecraftlover but a PlayStation 5 haver, then you may be happy to learn that that is now a viable combination as the much-loved game has now arrived on the next-gen console.

That’s right, as of yesterday,Minecrafthas officially arrived to thePlayStation 5with the native version “optimised to take advantage of the [console’s] powerful hardware”.

That means that the game will have an even greater render distance whilst still running in 4K resolution and 60FPS.

In even more exciting news, for players who own theMinecraft: Bedrock Editionfor thePlayStation 4, you will be able to grabMinecraftfor the PS5 for absolutely free.

Furthermore, crossplay is also available for PS5 users and those who own theMinecraft: Bedrock Editionso you can take on this brand-new mode together.

Those who already own the game can now try outMinecraft’s Bundles of Bravery.

This sees players now able to take advantage of bundles - items that allow you to store other items in - but also “experience the thrills (and spills) of Hardcore mode for the first time!”

Described as the “toughest survival challengeMinecrafthas to offer”, Hardcore mode will see players experience the much-loved game at the highest setting.

That means that you only have one life and if you die, there is no respawning.

Players received this new update with excitement, even more so when they learned that PS4 saves carry over and transferring worlds is much easier.

So all in all, a great update from theMinecraftteam.
