Unfortunately, not everyone is as sold on the idea as we are, with one fan arguing that Urban will struggle to “pull off” Cage’s funny side. “Me personally, [I] am not a huge fan of the casting choice, I feel like they should’ve gone with Ryan Reynolds or Chris Evans or any other actor that has the vibe of Johnny Cage. But hey, who knows, he might do a good job.”
Perhaps Reynolds and Evans are the more obvious choice to some, but they could have risked being too comedy-focused, with Evans a little too boy-next-door to really pull off Cage’s demeanour. However, it won’t be until we see the trailer for ourselves that we can better determine how Urban will fare.
