It’s often a great moment for fans when two universes collide in what can only be described as an epic collaboration.
One such collaboration happened in 2008 with the video gameMortal Kombat vs. DC UniverseforPlayStation3 andXbox360. Despite not featuring the signature gore seen most recently inMortal Kombat 1,Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universewas an awesome concept and surely one that many fans would love to see repeated.

The media outlet asked Adams about the possibility of one day working on a Mortal Kombat vs DC animated movie crossover. Sadly, it just so happens the idea was pitched to Warner Bros, but was ultimately rejected.
“Seeing as how you’ve written every instalment of the Mortal Kombat animated features, and actually quite a few DC ones as well, I have to ask, is this leading to the DC Universe versus Mortal Kombat? Or should fans lower their expectations?” asked Marc Deschamps of Comicbook. To which Adams replied: “I would lower your expectations. I don’t know if they have any plans to do more. I do know that we pitched that a while ago, but it was kind of rebuffed.”
It’s unlikely that we’ll see aMortal Kombat vs. DC Universevideo game again, the best we could wish for are DLC cameos in the Mortal Kombat and Injustice video game series. That being said, Warner Bros. and DC do like crossovers with its animated movies as showcased in the 2019 movie,Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So maybe it’s not outside the realism of the possibility that a Mortal Kombat vs. DC animated movie might happen one day.
