Just as many suspected, Ms. Marvel has been confirmed as a member of the X-Men in a new comic issue.
In May,MarvelComics announced that they’d bekilling off Ms. Marvelin an issue ofThe Amazing Spider-Man, prompting outrage from fans. The issue promised to be the“most shocking” published in 50 years, and saw Ms. Marvel essentially stabbed in the back while disguised as Mary Jane. Many fans argued that Kamala Khan shouldn’t have been killed outside of her own mainlinecomicbook series. Others pointed out the fact that it was AAPI Heritage Month and yet, Marvel was killing off a character that, for many,provides a rare sense of representation.
The Marvelsis set to release later this year.
