Ms Marvel’s MCU future finally confirmed after much concern

It has, somehow, been well over two years since theMCUseriesMs. Marvelhit our television screens, following its release back in June 2022.

Although big gaps between series and seasons aren’t anything new for aDisney+show, fans are still worried that Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan might not have proven popular enough to earn herself a second season.

This isn’t an unfounded concern either, as the last MCU project to feature Kamala Khan wasn’t exactly a huge success.

The Marvels, which featured Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel as one of its main three leads, has been labelled the first official MCU box office bomb.

The film earned roughly 200 million dollars at the box office following its release back in November 2023, which wasn’t enough to even coverits 270 million dollar budget.

In a recent interviewwith The Hollywood Reporter’s Brian Davids, the Marvel boss told the publication that they still have big plans for Iman Vellani’s future in the MCU.

“I love Iman. She’s incredible. I love that character,” Winderbaum told The Hollywood Reporter, “I will tell you that she’s certainly a big part of the MCU to me.”

“Ms. Marvel is a really important show to us, and without going into great detail, because I don’t want to spoil anything, she is top of mind. So it’s going to be exciting to see where she pops up next.”

Classic somewhat vague confirmation, but confirmation nonetheless.

Whether or not this means we’ll get a second season ofMs. Marvelor if they simply plan to feature her in a new project still remains to be seen, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t end up seeing Kamala Khan in aYoung Avengers-related project down the line.
