TheNeed for Speedseries has been around for decades with its first entry arriving in 1994 for the original PlayStation, SEGA Saturn as well as the long-forgotten Panasonic 3DO. With each release, the series improved over its last and it wasn’t until 2003 with the release ofNeed for Speed: Undergroundthat theElectronic Artsseries was at its best.

Following the release ofNeed for Speed: Underground 2in 2004, fans were eventually treated toNeed for Speed: Most Wantedin 2005. To be honest, you could ask any Need for Speed fan which is the better betweenUnderground 2andMost Wanted, and most will likely give you an equally valid preference.

However, for today’s topic of discussion at least, it’s all aboutNeed for Speed: Most Wanted(2005) and while Electronic Arts seems to be no closer to giving us an official remake, this beatifulUnreal Engine5 fan-made remake looks damn-near photorealistic.
The womderfulNeed for Speed: Most Wantedremake was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘NostalgiaNexus’ and this is from the same indie developer that had created the gloriousUnreal Engine 5 remakein September 2023.
