Need For Speed Underground 2 Unreal Engine 5 remake gets surprise download

If I hid in the bushes outside your house and waited for you to come out so I could leap from the shrubbery and ask you what video game you really wanted a remake of, you’d probably scream and run away.

Those of you that didn’t run away, however, would probably sayNeed For Speed: Underground 2.

I’m not sure what it is aboutNeed For Speed: Underground 2that still has us all in such a chokehold. Released in 2004, it remains a firm-favourite in the racing series, probably thanks to immaculate vibes and top-classsoundtrack.

YouTuber ‘2Unreal5Underground’ is currently working on a remake ofNeed For Speed: Underground 2inUnreal Engine 5. Better still, you can actually download and try it yourself forfree.

A word of warning: while this project has been branded a remake, you may consider it more of a remaster. This is because the original game has essentially been imported into Unreal Engine 5, making more of a souped-up remaster than a ground-up remake.

This has left some fans a little disappointed, but consider this: it still looks absolutely stunning, the fact it’s a conversion means it plays just as good as it did in 2004, and, most importantly, someone made this for you forfree. So stop your moaning and go check it out.
