Despite having plenty of spooks and scares, one is considered to be the scariest of them all, and happens during the eighth episode. We won’t spoil it for you, as it’s one you need to see rather than hear about, but it’s a good one. It’s also being praised as one of the best jump scares horror fans have ever seen.
One Reddit user shared their opinion on the now iconic scene, saying, “That episode scared the hell out of me. The way they show how the bent neck lady came to be blew my mind, it was so well executed.”
Other viewers chimed in with their own reactions, with many saying it genuinely freaked them out when they first saw it, even catching the most stoic of horror fans off guard. “It was completely 100% unexpected. Goes against the grain of the usual jump scare after a quiet and tense scene," said one comment.
“The weird thing is that it still gets me. I’ve watched this show three or four times now, including a run through a few months ago, and it still nearly gave me a heart attack," another said, while someone added, “I had trouble sleeping that night the first time I saw it.”
