The price hike will be applied to its ad-free streaming, but it’ll be a few months before it actually takes effect.

It’s believed the price-hike is planned for just the United States and Canada, but there’s always potential for it to be applied to other parts of the world later down the line.

When it’ll be introduced is anyone’s guess, but as soon as the strikes end, subscribers will have to brace themselves for the new changes.

That being said, the price-hike isn’t even here yet and it’s already driving viewers away, with many cancelling their subscriptions to get ahead of the rising cost.

They’re joining thousands who already jumped ship months ago, asNetflixcontinues to make several changes that have rubber viewers the wrong way.

Prices had already gone up last year, as well as changes to what memberships people could subscribe to. This includes ad plans and an ad-free tier, with the latter being more expensive but more like what the streaming service used to be.

Netflix joins a variety of streaming services that are all making moves to be more profitable, as production costs for new shows and films continue to rise, even more so if the actor and writer’s strike leads to better pay.

It’s currently unknown when the price strike will go into effect, though it’ll likely surface in the next few months.
